Feeder Insect Storage

Feeder Insect Storage

We offer a wide variety of feeder insects at our store and understand that caring for them can be a daunting task. Here, we’ve compiled a list of all our available feeder insects and provided the basics for properly storing and caring for them for a short period before being fed to your reptile.

**This is not meant to be a long-term husbandry guide for breeding and caring for feeder insects.

Important To Note:

When you receive your order, it’s essential to bring it inside to a climate-controlled area as soon as possible, as this will ensure a successful recovery process for your insects. We recommend allowing 6-8 hours of recovery time indoors for the insects after they are exposed to varying temperatures during transit.

For refrigerated products, we recommend storing them on the door of the fridge. This will allow the insects to cool down, which will slow their activity and growth without making them too cold to pose a risk to their health.

A larger quantity of superworms, mealworms, and dubia roaches will arrive in bags. The best method to empty these bagged insects is to invert the bag over a bin and gently wipe off the sides of the bag. Using vinyl or nitrile gloves can help prevent insects from clinging to your hands.

We have a 99% success rate with our live orders, thanks to our attentiveness and efficient packing methods. However, we understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise, and you may encounter issues with your order. If you experience any damaged products, missing items, or other issues, please get in touch with our customer service team.
